FAQ

What is a hair topper, and how is it different from a wig?

A hair topper is a type of hair extension for the "top" of the head. A smaller hairpiece designed to clip ( temporary) or bond ( 2 - 4 weeks at a time) onto your existing hair. It only covers specific areas of thinning or hair loss, such as the part line, crown, or hairline.A wig covers your entire head. Toppers blend seamlessly with your natural hair to add volume and camouflage a visible scalp.

Will a hair topper damage my remaining natural hair?

No, not when it is fitted, maintained and worn properly. Our stylists teach you how to safely attach the topper into healthy hair zones, ( as simple as buttoning a blouse) rather than pulling tightly on fragile areas. For advanced hair thinning, we also offer semi-permanent, clip-free integration options that protect your natural hair.

Can you see the base of the topper? / Will anyone know I’m wearing it?

Absolutely not. High-quality toppers feature "monofilament" or "silk" bases. We offer both custom made and stock systems. These materials mimic the exact look of a natural human scalp. When custom-cut and color-blended by our salon stylists, the topper becomes completely invisible to the untrained eye.

Can I style, wash, and use heat on my hair topper?

Yes, if you choose a 100% human hair topper. You can curl, straighten, and wash it just like your own hair. Synthetic toppers have styling limitations but hold their shape after washing. We will guide you on the best care routines during your consultation.

How do I choose the right size and color for my hair loss?

Choosing a topper requires measuring the exact area of thinning to ensure the base covers it comfortably. For the color, we match the topper to your biological mid-lengths and ends, not your roots. We require booking a consultation virtual or in person, so we can custom-match your texture and tone perfectly. Once we determine what method, size, length and type of topper an in salon consultation will be required for a flawless match and measurments.

Can I sleep, shower, or swim in my hair topper?

We advise against sleeping, showering, or swimming in traditional clip-in toppers (bonded systems will remain installed) Friction from sleeping can cause matting and damage your natural hair roots. Water and chlorine can shorten the lifespan of the system

How long does a high-quality hair topper last?

Human hair toppers typically last anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years, heat, chemicals and sun, all affect the longevity. With proper daily care and professional maintenance. Synthetic options generally last 3 to 6 months.

Options

Toppers
Hair toppers are designed to add coverage and fullness in areas where thinning or reduced density is most noticeable, such as the crown, part line, or top of the head. Unlike traditional extensions that focus primarily on adding length, toppers integrate with your existing hair to create the appearance of fuller, denser hair while maintaining a natural hairline and movement. Our stylists customize toppers based on your hair color, texture, density, and coverage needs to create a seamless blend that looks and feels like your own hair. Depending on the design and attachment method, toppers can be worn as a daily removable solution, allowing you to take them on and off at home without professional assistance.
Hair Integration
Hair integration systems are designed for clients experiencing thinning or reduced density who still have existing hair to blend with. A lightweight, breathable base with attached hair is customized and placed to allow your natural hair to be pulled through and integrated with the added hair, creating a fuller, more natural-looking result. This method increases coverage and volume while allowing your own hair to remain part of the final look. Integration systems can be semi-permanently attached, meaning they remain in place and require professional assistance for removal and maintenance. Because your natural hair continues to grow, regular salon appointments—typically around every four weeks—are needed to adjust, maintain, and ensure the system continues to look and feel its best. Each system is customized based on your hair color, texture, density, and lifestyle to create a comfortable, seamless blend.
Halo Extensions
Halo extensions are a non-permanent solution designed to add instant fullness, length, and coverage without traditional attachment methods. A lightweight band sits comfortably around the head with the hair blending over the top, making it an excellent option for clients who want added volume or coverage while minimizing stress on their natural hair. Halo extensions can be customized to match your color, texture, and density for a natural-looking blend and are ideal for everyday wear, special occasions, or clients who want a flexible option without commitment.
